Title: Problem with PSU and monitor
Post by: aka_sova on Sun 14.02.2010 14:59:30
ok, so here's my problem.

My PSU has burned out 2 days ago. Today i went to store and bought a new one. I've connected everything again right, the computer itself works good, but no signal coming to monitor. I've tried to reconnect wires, cleaned everything from dusk, pulled out RAM and grafics card, cleaned them from dusk and put again. Nothing changes - computer works, but not monitor. And when i turn computer on, it doesn't give any sound from inside (like "peep").

Here are details. Any suggestions before i take the whole computer to store?

Burned something (eg motherb.) with the broken power supply? Happened to my old system almost 2 years ago... The motherboard won't beep if the cpu, the ram or the mobo itself are not working.

I agree with Vegas here, if all the wires are connected but the computer doesn't successfully POST (beep) my guess is that it will be the MB.

ok, so i took it to the store, left it there, after 1 hour a guy calls me: "The problem was with new PSU we sold you. We've changed it and it works, come to take your comp back"  Crazysmile1
