I wanted to implement this for a long time: ban the outdated internet explorer 6 from the web. ...Well, at least from the dark homepage. =)

Sorry for those 2 visitors of the dark clan homepage who aren't bots and still use the ie6, probably you surf during work and your it didn't update yet. You'll end up at www.ie6nomore.com (http://www.ie6nomore.com),

where you'll be able to select a modern browser. If you aren't allowed to install them, ask your IT to do that, modern browser are much safer.

Everyone is welcome to follow this example, because many websites won't display correctly in ie6 if there are no special style fixes for float, align, font-styles etc.

Just create a file called .htaccess in the root of the server and add these strings:

RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} !((msie)(\s)([7-9])) [NC]

School admins: but quicktime and itunes has to be installed ;D

Get yourself some usb-stick browser (http://portableapps.com/apps/internet/firefox_portable) to avoid ie6. afrodd.gif

Was loading the Firefox 4 Beta and I can say it rocks. Finally rly speedy browser again. But the Opera 10.60 is also nice and you can synchronize your desktop-version with your mobile opera which is the known best mobile browser (I try a lot of them...)
