Hello, i have a question: in server demo with RCam 3.07 when i watching by 1st face instead of impact hammer player have other weapon, rocket launcher for example. Is it possible to fix it? Thx.

I know what you mean, when the 1st person perspective doesn't update items on the HUD or keeps showing the wrong weapons, whereas the 3rd perspective shows the actually selected weapon.
Allow me to forward this questoin since I have no clue if it can be fixed.

I never used the automatic weapon switch and had that issue too.

To conclude from the 3rd person view, the demo contains the necessary data to allow this weapon switching to be fixed. The weapons could be removed (like the 'i' keybind in RypeL Cam) and replaced by the weapons as the 3rd person view recognizes them. But I'm not familiar with the ut3 code controlling this and it could end up in a lot more of work than it sounds like.
The weapons used by those 2 perspectives are not the same package, the issue could be caused as a result of that.

Well, i think there is a solution for that (would a bit hacky, but it would work). Need to work on it, the next weeks (less time atm).

Assasins, can you uploaed a demo for me/us, so we can try to work along this specific problem?

No, no solution for that, yet.
Rcam 3.08 will be out soon with some improvements, thanks to the help of Rypel and Rattlesnake.

Can you change the view for the zoom of the sniper????  whistle2 (i think not...)

You mean you want to have a zoomed view if the players uses the secondary fire of the SniperRifle? I tried to get information about that issue, unfornately all these information are not "stored" into a demo.

But who knows, maybe this feature will come ...

Strange, I always thought the sniper rifle disappears in a demo and you don't see the scope texture. Same as you don't see the Redeemer Cam in a demo. Just to get sure: Is this gif made from a demo?


About the sniper zoom, Rattlesnake answered you.
It'd be possible to add a 'fictive' zoom by decreasing the fov - but with questionable benefit.

you CAN see the zoom if you the demo you have is client side, like this small moment after the HS for example (min 1.20) :

i got it when The Last Server was still up giving us every demo from eveyr match automaticlally

Well... i have a "bug" screen on this demo with or without the rcam...
I don't think that it is my skin cause i look other players & it is the same bug...
Maybe the map canalwafare UT3XPRO FSE? i don't know...

That screen flickering could be a map specific error if it appears only on one map - but JoaÖ~ already made a frag movie on canal warfare without that issue.

Therefore, a graphics card memory problem seems more probable to cause this flickering. Cue: overclocking.
Make sure there are no flash apps running in the background (not just videos but also other gpu accelerated applications like e.g. the yahoo messenger and others).

If nothing of this applies to your situation, try to change the UT3 graphic details (set or remove bloom, world detail,...).

GL with the frag movie!

This code is from the UDK development source and should allow to rewind in demos, or more precisely, jump back in predefined steps. Came across it while trying to port Rcam to RedOrchestra 2.

TripWireInteractive asked for an Rcam version for RO2 and sent some keys for the game before the game launch, as you know from the dark only forum.

Nothing happened for quite a long time, since demorecording and mod compiling did not work, and with the latest patch, the 64bit RO2 crashes on launch. There is no editor & compiler for the 32 bit version.

Resolved these problems, it wasn't a lot of work to port Rcam. It initializes in a different way and some things have changed with UDK, but I already did the first camera flight, saving and loading works fine, hud is working and only minor changes (+ a short promo video, of course ;D) required before it's done.

...hopefully it will be possible to port rcam also for Tribes Ascend (awesome game!) afrodd.gif

I only played the first training and two campaign missions and tried if online gaming works. There are some minor flaws (character animation, textures and graphics, AI), but there is nothing that wrecks the game. As far as I can tell, Red Orchestra 2 is primarily concerned with reproducing war scenes in a realistic way, with projectile gravity, taking cover in various ways, manually changing positions inside vehicles et cetera.

Wanna give it a try yourself? ;)

Pretty neat Vegas! Even if you only "imported" the RypelCam to RO2 doesn't make the work you and Rypel put into it any less important or amazing. One big reason for to give RO2 a try!

Perhaps you should ask Tribes-Developers if they require something like  RypelCam, hehe!

RypeL suggested to do so if there won't be mod support and demorecoring is functional.

I've seen Cr4zy, V1rus and a few other UT3 folks on T:A, but ...didn't see you guys playing yet. :'( 
T:A flag capping would be 100% L1ghtmyfire's gaming style, Wojci would get a shrike (=Fury without taxi option,...or is there? :D) ...and Blo_Ody could rape those wannabe-pro beta testers.  ;D

..and I'm not planning to start playing Tribes. I'm happy with Quake Live at the moment. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
 
Considering that my skill increased quite a bit/lot (Smiley_grin) there (concerning Free for all and Clan Arena). Although I think if more and more Darkies would start to play Tribes I'd be forced to start then.

I kinda lost my interest in video games, though. Maybe UT4 would change it but god knows when or if this will ever come out.


Edit: @Vegas: If there's a friendlist in Tribes Ascend contact m4rt1ni! He's playing Tribes as well ;)

There is. I have added m4rt1ni, sev and joao, but those green lights always stay dark. Last week I've played like every evening and maxxed out the soldier class. Some fun frags too, but no demos. So it never happened :'( ;D

Fov didn't work in rcam either, so there is no need to work on that. Supposedly, fov was reduced and locked to 75 to avoid people to see through walls in certain occasions. If TWI is able to fix that, they'll enable fov and it should work also with rcam.

I hope punkbuster won't cause problems with the rypelcam ini file...

UE4 won't support uscript anymore but compile C++.
I doubt it will ease compiling RCam for games without official mod support, but it will require to adapt the current RCam code. =/

Most aimbots work with memory injection. There are aimbots for games without mod support (Tribes Ascend) even if it is not possible to port RCam - it is a different matter.

Glad you could work it out.

In case you want to create some camera paths, you might find the pagedown key useful to replay the movements of players and the 'timed path'-camera.
You can edit a timed path aswell by inserting new cam points at any time of the demo... than preview it without restarting the demo. I'm not sure you get what I mean, it probably is easier to learn by doing. ;)

i did some campath with the version 3.17 yesterday, and it works, nothing to say at this moment even if used too much campoints but you know it Vega ^^

It's the latest pubished RypelCam. Rattlesnake made a huge effort with hundreds of code submissions for a overworked RypelCam, but that one isn't quite ready to be published yet.
