The new "patch" is pretty lame if you ask me.
I don't really see or feel any positive changes.
All things people were complaining in 2.0 are still existing.

All settings as with patch 1.3 except forced sandstorm, no manta exploit and infinite avril pickups - thats UT3 as it should have been since v1.0

But Epic progresses in the wrong way:
-"improvements on the serverbrowser" - I hate it now, all the data isn't correct anymore + lags hell
-"fixed" avril - no, they wanted to say avril will be BROKEN with the new patch  finger1

something could be really fun: a (1.3) server on ut3 with a password, and only good player have that pass.
who never said "fucking noob, camper!, fuck suspens again?!?, cheater!, titan shit!, where is my team? ......." ^^

sure somebody has to pay that server but the game is really funnier with only good players!

what do u think about it?  :)

clanwar feeling and stress every minute? being killed every second? endless overtime matches? unbreakable campers?

Patch 2.0 and patch 2.1 do not automatically mean "Titan shit".
It can be turned off, simply.

I don't play on 1.3 servers anymore.
As soon as I see it's a 1.3 server (Esc -> Vote), I quit.
I know you guys are fans of the walljump after a hoverboard jump.
However, I barely use it so I don't care much about it.

The Avril bug is annoying as well, but there are some work-arounds and I can live with it how it currently is.

Well, 2.0/2.1 server which is pw-protected would be a good idea in my opinion.

do you mean the avril bug that epic isnt able to fix till patch 10.2?

If its a server with guys who never said fuckin suspense etc. that you have to play without me^^

Edit: I dont have any problems with the gameplay with the patch 2.1 the only problem is that you still have the same bugs as before. We waited for nothing...

But its impossible to get one of these servers. Who should buy it? And how often do you use it? There are only 2 good UT3 Players (Bloody.Bender,m0tzinator).

yeah i nearly only play on jolt on vctf...
the other servers are or titan or suspens...

I think patch 2.0 fixed some annoying issues and brought some nice features.
For example the taking of ammo which you already have.
The good things dominate the bad things in my opinion.

@Splitter:
I'm only talking about the quick switching after an Avril shot which is not possible since 2.0 if you don't use any work-arounds.
The other Avril things (Shot comes not out, mixed weapons etc.) happen rarely...

Rarely? Nearly in every game at least one avril makes no damage! The "I shoot but there is no rocket"-Bug happens rarely^^

i still cant read the fakkin messages ingame...

It happens to any other weapons as well.
Rocket Launcher, Flak etc.
You can notice it especially well with Avrils because Mantas/Vipers should be destroyed after 1 hit.
During a normal fight with Rocket Launcher and Flak, you may not notice it as easy.
(It's just faster and you don't know your enemy's hp/shield etc.)

Yeah I noticed that too. It really often and the problem is it only happens when you make a full hit.

Yea that sucks! I send someone invite and message about this invite, and i have no chance, that this person will leave his actual game, read my message and decide whether he would like to follow me or not...And i also feel inconveniences about it, lots of messages are read too late :(

With patch v2.1 i have more lags and packet loss on all server.  finger1

dunno if it works but you can click ctrl+esc (xD)to come to desktop and open the folder

mygames/ut3/utgame/savedata

open the file with editor: 'nickname.ue3messages'

example : SpIitter.ue3messages

but i dunno if it is already updated when the msg receive.

you can see the nickname of the guy who send it and the text.

example: robin sent me as quickrc a invite, looks like this:

you dont have to close the ut3.exe and you can stay the server

its the only way if epic sleeps the whole day

hmm thats not worth the effort to read messages like that...

and when i 'exit' the game with crtl+esc in fullscreen, and i click on the Ut3 thingy it crashes sometimes...
