Hi guys  :)

I created a thread about map glitches in EPICs forum 2 months ago.

My aim is that Epic will fix some of these or all glitches.
I mean it is official and this means Epic should know them.
The main problem is that the members in Epic's forum seem too lazy
 or disinterested to keep the thread up so the thread goes away and away.
Would be nice if some of you would push it sometimes :)
(Seems stupid if I always write in my own thread^^)

Do you know any other glitches?
I'll add the SuXpense-glitch where you can hide behind the wall near the boots.
Then I also will add some WAR-Downtown-glitches.

I already wrote PMs to the forum admins of Epic forum and I e-mailed the epic chef ehm boss^^
No answer until now :(
My desire is that patch 1.4 fixes some of these problems.

thx, i didn't know some of the glitches of warfare maps.

Actually, i know a lot more bugs and glitches on VCTF maps, than you mentioned. If you want, i can share them with you. Epic will not fix them anyway. They even don't write their own forum :S

Hi Nightmare!

I really appreciate your efforts to improve UT3 by requesting bug fixes (and I knew some further ones), but don't you think that it is contraproductive to post them in public? Any irrational and undisciplined player (...they do exist) can take use of those bugs in online games if it is for their advantage.
And Epic... well, maybe it fixes the maps because PS3 and XBox are affected too  embarrassed2

I respect and accept your opinion.
Of course it has disadvantages to post them public (as you mentioned).
But I made it because of 2 reasons:

Reason 1:
Epic can't deny it.
I mean everyone will think they are blind/stupid/ignorant because the thread is in their own forum and was many times on the 1s page.
(And I PMed the admins and e-mailed Epic, too).
This all increases the pressure against Epic.
If it would be only private (e-mails, PMs), well, then they simply could ignore it with the hope that the other ut3 players don't know anything about these glitches.

Reason 2:
Nearly every unfair method (in this case glitch) has a counter.
The glitcher has only an advantage if the others don't know how to reach/kill him or where he could hide.
If you also know these unfair tricks then he is very quick(ly?) a dead glitcher^^
Sometimes I see some people trying to use a glitch but I quickly knock them out.
(Just because I know the glitches, too).
The other method is that an admin just kicks and bans a glitcher.

wow, I found a fatality glitch on Kargo (I will not post it in Epic forum but here):
(And it is just a continue of the one glitch).

You already know the glitch that you can jump over the door in blue base.
If one team leads (example: 2:1 for red) the red guy takes the blue flag, jumps over the door and falls, falls and falls^^
After around 1 minute "free fall" he dies and loses the flag.
The problem: The flag never gets returned...
Blue team can't win this match - in this case no counter if the red guy already falls.
(Only a map restart would help).
Sad, but true...  cry2

Yes, Suckspense is the correct name. I think I have to write it in my UT3 bug list, too :D :D

Just a question: Is this video very new?! I mean UT3 version 1.3?
Because I thought the night shade bug was fixed with patch 1.3
I'll try out the glitches tomorrow.

And I think I'll make the map glitch thread with screenshots (like in the bug thread).
Should be really better!

Maybe some of you could try it and confirm if it still works?
However, I tried the fly-cheat and it works, that means there is skywalking possible and this jump should work, too.
To the jump: Just a normal hammer jump + 1 jump boot!?

Has anyone made experience with the free hoster "kilu.de"?
Because I think about to transfer my complete freenet-folders and files to kilu.de...
Would not be complicate to change all adresses because I make it with texteditor "search and replace".

Hello Nightmare, i need to tell u my respect 4 ur work. Many of this glitches, errors and mistakes are so annoying. They harms this awesome game.  :( In fact the invisible destroyed vehicles are the greatest sucking ever!

So i have a big prob, but maybe its a hardware error: Sometimes my screen freezes and i have two possibilities 4 restart. If i'm a lucky fox the taskmanager goes on an i can kill the ut3.exe (100% busy). If not, i only see with different mouse symbols that the manager is open, but i cannot klick. So i have to restart the hard way...  cry2

I've heard about this problem from other ppl and i dunnot freeze in other games nor programs. So i think its depending from my lovely UT3.

Do you play any other games without problems?
I also have sometimes crashes when I play UT3.
It uses a lot of cpu & gpu power and ram, too.

I would say you check your temperatures and try to check cpu, gpu and ram.

Do you play with V-Sync on?
There is a bug that UT3 uses constantly (or nearly) 100% CPU power if it's enabled.

Great list, but the site is getting too heavy to load, at least for my low end Machine. My fox increases memory usage and the site is not really scrollable... until i closed the site (at 280mb, cose i got only 512mb ram) it didn't stop  :-[

Maybe you should think about converting the thumbnails to a web conform size (down from ~400kb to ~70 or less) if you want to show them all at the same time...  and the site will load faster if it is not as large as 12mb.

I just included the "shot"-feature.
The problem is it resizes the images but their KBs are as same as in fullscreen.
Yes, the complete size is 45 mb.

You think I just should make of every screenshot a thumbnail version which is smaller in its size and in its KB.
A little bit complex but I think it would be good.
However, I don't know the exact code.
The Epic forum supports (as mentioned)

In this cases it is not possible to see any images, only after clicking the links.
So I have no idea how to make every thumbnail as a link which leads to another - the real -  image...

Hello nightmare, thx 4 ur help. I try to proof my temps, but i think it cannot be a RAM nor CPU, cause it freezes my screen. Yeah, the CPU is on 100%, when i can see the taskmanager. But as i tell before, sometimes it freezes and i can see my cursor, not the window/desktop. So i have to look at the GPU and the VRAM. :-( I hope 4 my new gfx (4870), but its a "lil bit" expensive. Which tools do u use 2 log the GPU/VRAM-Temp? btw If its a temp-prob, i did'nt understand it: My case has a 36cm(!) fan on the side... And other games dont crash my system. Grrrrr!

No problem :)

Freezing a screen can have many reasons.
I use the tool EVEREST (Corporate or Ultimate Edition) for logging my temps.
It's very easy for me to see them always because I have the Logitech G15 and I have on my LCD:
time, date, ram usage, cpu1 and 2 usage /
mainboard- hdd- gpu-cpu1- and cpu2 temps.

How long can you play UT3 without any crashes (average time)?

P.S. A small trick: Just open your case and look if it's better. This often helps^^

The annoying thing is, thats unpredictable: Sometimes i play the whole night without crashing, other nights it freezes three times or more. Sometimes directly after reboot, or not... Thats sucks, cauze if i'll be good enough 4 teammatches, the danger of freezes makes impossible 2 play with my clan.  cry2

OK I guess you play with V-Sync on.
Is anything overclocked?
I had big crashes when my cpu was overclocked from 3 ghz to 3,6 ghz.
My pc just restarted while I was playing UT3.

You can reduce some graphic details just to see if anything gets better/more stable.

P.S. I think the best method for UT3 (to save your system) is V-Sync off and Smooth FPS (don't know its exact name) on.
(Both should be in UT3's advanced graphic options)

Yes, its my darkbluefox. Not noiseless, but a kindly whisperingg sound. Ah, and it lights so blue!  ;D I can oc my whole system, but not yet. Only my gfx is oced, i proofed this, its not the reason 4 freezing. I play on a FullHD-LCD with 1680x1050 and a eyecatching upscaling. Need to check details and other stuff and try it out.

I'm working on the thread and I will reduce all screenshots from
1680x1050 80 to 1440x900 60 (JPG quality).
That means the complete MB size will be 22 MB, not 45 MB.

The Super Moderator and Forum Contact support did not help me so there is no other solution for me...

They have multiple servers working just for your post ^^  smiley56.png
Only the pics will show up, no ads (if you take the direct link) ...backup the originals

Hmm would be too complex for me...
I now have uploaded the screenshots the 3rd time.
(1st normal screenshots, 2nd thumbnails that do not work because of the forum and now all screenshots again but smaller).
So I don't have more passion, sorry.

P.S. If the forum admins would change the max 9 [img]-limit, I would finally change it, because it is the best solution in my opinion.

It is crap!
You have to use the "Low gravity" mutator.
You can see it because his jumps are abnormal.
I saw another video where the author showed that he used the mutator.

I found some other nice glitches that I'll post later^^
(Have to rename, resize, compress and upload them).

ShangriLa seems pretty buggy to me, because it has too many clipping problems.
You can stand on many walls where you usually should fall.

P.S.
You know the Sniper near the Shield Belt (the right side where also the Link Gun is).
If you jump on the door, you can look through the wall and can see enemies that are on the place of the Stinger or the Shield Belt.

MSF has played with highspeed lowgrav since we started out and now we have a UT3 server with this mutator as well :P

Hehe cool i finally have to play on your server. I'd really like to play dm with low gravity i never played on a server with this mutator online before.

I found a bug i didnt know about today in corruption. maybe u already mentioned this somewhere in this thread but i must have missed it.

If u go stand where i shoot on this picture and switch to hoverboard you'll fly up in the air.

But this time you will fall down and u cant walk around in the air. And u'll lose a lot of health by doing this so its of no use.

It reminded me of that same kind of glitch that is in the base in containment. But in containment u get thrown towards the avril tower so it's a glitch that can be taken advantage of. If this would be something new i'll make a screenshot of that sometime.

I hope all the mentioned bugs will be fixed sometime. I especially dont like the flag not ever returning  bug and the tank bug in kargo.

Heggi, i tried a lot of thing with this glitch some time ago (~2 months, you are not the first one who saw it :D ), and i succeeded 1 time to jump up to the place, where you can walk on the sky. But, as u said, this bug is mostly useless :p

Yes, I know these issues.
However, I did not count them to the map glichtes because it seems to be a hoverboard problem.
Problems with the hoverboard, which you posted, are on nearly every map available.
So I just wrote in my bug list the hoverboard problem:

04. Hoverboard bug

Important:
It has nothing to do with the maps - it is a hoverboard problem.
Of course it also works on plenty of other objects in official maps!
1. You run against an object until you can't move forward.
2. You press your hoverboard-key (standard Q)
3. Now you needn't to do anything because you will automatically fly backwards many metres.

Isn't that what you are doing as well?

Step 1) Check the internet for glitch videos
Step 2) Make an own movie of some of the glitches you have seen in the videos before
Step 3) Post the video on our website and say "I found some new glitches..."

But that Containment hoverboard bounce, sure others found it out themselves too, but as you know I posted it on the forum 1/2 a year ago... members area only so not anyone could see it and use the exploit.

I answered Serpegialla now with a piece of the old video... ah, that were times... low grafics thanx to my good ol' AMD and Nvidia 6600GT "eXtreme" ^^

And the hurricane flight on Suspense is crap as well.
I think SERPEGIALLA needs some lessons what map glitches are^^

P.S. I think the only thing that I posted, which is not a glitch, is on Containment the Goliath climbing.
If those barricades would be fixed completey, the Goliath could not drive through them anymore.
(Or if the Goliath would be fixed - one way or the other).

This is the thing i don't do. Only in Sandstorm tricky flagruns may be - i saw once guy jumping up there, that's all. All another things with IH i developed myself.
Or about manta tricks video. Yes, no one of those is my invention, but i searched a lot in youtube, and didn't find something similar to it. Some guy was showing the IH trick, but that was very short and tiny. So i decided to show all possible tricks to UT3 guys :)

It was deleted today because of some conflicts.
I had a discussion with a user and I thought he were the guy who once insult me.
(Names sound similar).
Now it's deleled but well, the admin said I always can send information to him.
Who knows, maybe it wouldn't have had any future.
Let's hope Epic will some day change something...

I think it was the wrong turn as well.
