Hi guys
Just  wondered if you would mind beta testing my new map for bugs n stuff. Its a small Vctf map with lots of Hammerjump runs.
Pls let me know wot u think if its shite or ok

ok, let me start.

1) Why there is UDamage on red base and Big Keg on blue? There should be balance. And i've also paid attention, that the jumppad on blue base takes you on the top of boxes, and on red base only inside the box on top.

2) You can go beyond the fence, but there is no way out unless you have boots. Take a look at screen. You can do such thing on all the map, not only here.

3) Explain me exactly why i can't walk on some of those metal crossbars? And on those where i can i fall if i still stand on them, but a bit on a side. Needs fixing.

4) Floor is black in this redeemer pool and it's impossible to quit it somehow, unless you are lucky and have enough time to try to quit it to the redeemer platform.

5) I've found only few hammer jumps, with this tube and to the top, i've expected more :)  Actually also on the wall, where you can walk all over the map, but was it really on purpose or just UT3 wall bug? :p

6) red manta color is not defined.

7) What does THAT mean?  xxxlaugh.gif  locked??

ok. i like this map.

here are 3 things for now.

1. whats the use of this pillars:

2. i dont like that one team has the big health in his 'base' (in the box) and the others udamage

maybe he doesnt want that you leave the pool

Edit: red raptor isnt defined neither. i can join it as a blue guy

i fixed all bugs now but u shouldnt be able to get past fence as i have blockin volumes..dam ut3

uploading new map now, no u have no way of getting out of pool
and i set it so it takes 50 health each time

Here is what i meant. On second screen you can see, that i can jump between those things and get to my base in safety (sometimes, when there are no snipas :D )

btw, i found 1 more flagrun  xxxlaugh.gif  From this box with UDamage/Big Keg you kick the wall and fly straight to the top with big acceleration and can get to the flag quickly.

Well you've fixes infiltrating to those areas beyond fence only on sides, but on the base you didn't do it. Also i think those blocking areas are too big - i can't enter zone i should be able to enter.

Imho the avril should be right at the spawnplace. Otherwise you can spawnrape with all vehicles... especially with manta...

Also right. And i think the map needs more obstacles, cuz you can snipe through it easily when you are on top. And it's not easy to get there without raptor. Which can be also destroyed even before it would be available to enter it.

Fixing wall bugs now and moving avrils, adding more ammo and contemplating adding more obstacles, i didnt want it over crowded as i wanted it a fast intense map.
I made it hard to get to top, only real way is via perfect hammerjump form on the lift and via the side ledges

I suggest to add some pipes located in the air, in which player can move inside. Add some hammerjumps leading to them. Like those:

Ive added no  ammo for extra stinger

Gonne make the hammerjump to new crane platform longer its too easy to land

yea. put it more far away a bit. then you can use it with board as ramp to come up to big keg

to the stinger... should have only 50 ammo ... to use it to shoot a FC from board or something like that... not to spam with udamage

no need to remove the beta version thread. maybe (if in future more map previews will be posted here), we'll add a board for "Maps - Final Releases" and "Maps - Beta Releases"

... maybe some more vctf (or other) mappers will preview their maps here.. or you... if you made your next one.

but anyways, after you finished the map with all the suggestions, it will be a great map

Well every time i see fence on different location. And this makes the situation when there is collision box on the place where it should be and where you should walk freely. That's annoying. Also i found one funny bug  ;D

Also i think this platform in the air is too high. I can't get there from the raptor spot, nor from the flag position. Only with Doulbe IH jump under it...

The top platform is positioned for an exact perfect hammerjump off the lift, and yes ive also made the side platforms only reachable by double hammerjump off flag plaform, makes it harder for people
Im having  a play with your suggestion sova but its hard to kismet a breakable actor thats also a moveable interp actor.

ok here is what i think :)
I think it's placed too easy to just dodge jump from sniper spawn platform with boots...for such easy flagrun there has to be some antidote...hmm may be some light on crane that will release gas into this box? And cause 50 hp damage in second?  msn012.gif   

Red box taxi works only once for some reason! Try it by yourself.

Also another bug spotted. Add collisions!
