that some unfair players would quickly change to the spec mode to search the enemy flag carrier.
Then they will join again and go to him.

A normal player won't often change from player to spectator.

But well, you also could join the game as spectator, search something and become active...

Ok, I make a suggestion:
There can be a spec button and you always can go from player to spec and vica versa under one condition:
The flag carriers can't be spectated.
I even think if the free movement should be disabled, too.
The argumentation:
You have a good place where you can hide and the enemies can't find you.
And then comes a spec and sees everything and your secret is not a more a secret.
It would be too easy if an enemy player changes to spec and just searches for you.
I'm sure many players would do this...

So that's the deal:
Spec button = yes, spectating flag carriers (+ free movement) = no.
Yes I know it is very interested to spectate and of course to see what the flag carriers do, but it simply could be unfair as mentioned."

Yes, Suckspense is the correct name. I think I have to write it in my UT3 bug list, too :D :D

Just a question: Is this video very new?! I mean UT3 version 1.3?
Because I thought the night shade bug was fixed with patch 1.3
I'll try out the glitches tomorrow.

And I think I'll make the map glitch thread with screenshots (like in the bug thread).
Should be really better!

Hi,
When I play offline sometimes, I often need jump boots.
It sucks when I always have to pick them and wait until they spawn.
I asked in Epic's forum and other guys wanted to know that, too.
Now we have the solution.
After you start the map simply type this command in console:
set UTGame DefaultInventory (class'UTWeap_Enforcer',class'UTWeap_ImpactHammer',class'UTJumpBoots')
(I just copied and pasted it in the console).
That means that you will have after your next spawns the hammer, enforcer and jump boots.
Then you can type this:
set UTJumpBoots Charges 16
That means you will have 16 jumps, 231 is maximum (I tried it^^).
I hope I could help :)

P.S. But this means also that every player (Bots, too) will have jump boots. But if you play alone it doesn't care.

Edit:
The first console command is of course only 1 line (the code-view is not the best, if you want to read it).

Just copy this (because it is 1 line and some people had problems with the other):

Something to the hoverboard bug:
I did not mentioned Containment because I promised it Vegas^^
I think it is very easy to use this bug and when I show some official maps, the guys could try and use it on official maps.
(I mean it is not a map glitch so why post it on official maps?)

10. Driving with Goliath over barricades:
I would say it's a bug, yes.
Maybe RPGWizard meant the big barricades which need the redeemer or C4 to get destroyed.
He did not answer until now.

Hi,

I use the keyboard Logitech G15 and the mouse Logitech G5.
Of course I prefer WASD. On my G-Keys I have some say bindings like "Tank down, heal, need a gunner" etc.
I use nearly all buttons of my mouse.
Button 1 and 2 = fire/alt-fire - should be normal^^
Thumb button 1 = feign death - I don't use it much the last time...
Thum button 2 = not used until now, but I will include the Screenshot-funtion.
Mouse wheel left = best weapon (standard: rocket launcher)
Mouse wheel right = avril/redeemer
Mouse wheel pressed = no function because it sucks a little bit on this mouse (I just don't like it).
DPI + = Link gun (effective for quick healing or building nodes).
DPI - = Shock Rifle

I respect and accept your opinion.
Of course it has disadvantages to post them public (as you mentioned).
But I made it because of 2 reasons:

Reason 1:
Epic can't deny it.
I mean everyone will think they are blind/stupid/ignorant because the thread is in their own forum and was many times on the 1s page.
(And I PMed the admins and e-mailed Epic, too).
This all increases the pressure against Epic.
If it would be only private (e-mails, PMs), well, then they simply could ignore it with the hope that the other ut3 players don't know anything about these glitches.

Reason 2:
Nearly every unfair method (in this case glitch) has a counter.
The glitcher has only an advantage if the others don't know how to reach/kill him or where he could hide.
If you also know these unfair tricks then he is very quick(ly?) a dead glitcher^^
Sometimes I see some people trying to use a glitch but I quickly knock them out.
(Just because I know the glitches, too).
The other method is that an admin just kicks and bans a glitcher.

wow, I found a fatality glitch on Kargo (I will not post it in Epic forum but here):
(And it is just a continue of the one glitch).

You already know the glitch that you can jump over the door in blue base.
If one team leads (example: 2:1 for red) the red guy takes the blue flag, jumps over the door and falls, falls and falls^^
After around 1 minute "free fall" he dies and loses the flag.
The problem: The flag never gets returned...
Blue team can't win this match - in this case no counter if the red guy already falls.
(Only a map restart would help).
Sad, but true...  Cry

Seems funny to me.
First:
You could include an ini-file which lets the map be in the offline map list.
For example:
DM-lol.ini
Code:

MapName=DM-lol
FriendlyName=lol
Description=rofl
NumPlayers=4 to 8 players     Author: aka_sova
Then you will see it together will all other maps if you play offline.

I found 3 small glitches.
Maybe you want to fix them sometimes.

There is a small problem with graphics on the ground:

Hi guys  :)

I created a thread about map glitches in EPICs forum 2 months ago.

My aim is that Epic will fix some of these or all glitches.
I mean it is official and this means Epic should know them.
The main problem is that the members in Epic's forum seem too lazy
 or disinterested to keep the thread up so the thread goes away and away.
Would be nice if some of you would push it sometimes :)
(Seems stupid if I always write in my own thread^^)

Do you know any other glitches?
I'll add the SuXpense-glitch where you can hide behind the wall near the boots.
Then I also will add some WAR-Downtown-glitches.

I already wrote PMs to the forum admins of Epic forum and I e-mailed the epic chef ehm boss^^
No answer until now :(
My desire is that patch 1.4 fixes some of these problems.
