Wow, I've compared the Beta 1 - 3 changelists with the final one.

There is no difference and we have been waiting for it more than 1 month.
That's really lame!

Nightmare85 I think you've made 40x more effort trying to collect the bugs than Epic tried to fix them

I won't break up ut3 so fast. If vctf gets boring just switch to DM (its fun) or bta or duel or Warfare (rocks too).

Imo every gametype except betrayal and greed are nice and funny.

I'm not saying that I'm over with UT3. It's just difficult to find a good game these days.

The game is pretty vacant lately, I hope there'll be an UT4 someday.

people in this thread were discussing about mouse speed, here's a little video from Hypno, one of the best UT-players, look how he's moving his mouse:

not much of a surprise. extremely low sens possibly with some acceleration. I play on low sens but his seems a lot lower. In duel you HAVE TO know the position of the enemy 90% of the time, so there is no need for him to do a full 180 degrees turn in one swipe. I keep it higher cos it's useful in the other gamemodes, but last time I checked, even I cannot make a 180 turn :-P

If its not too annoying 4 u 2 kill me too often, I would play too. Improve my skillz...

playing FPS on consoles was always a bit gay IMHO

So, Nightmare85, when do you think Epic is gonna hire you as their new lead betatester? They can definitely use someone so dedicated to finding bugs :)

the bigger your angle of vision is the smaller the objects in the direct centre appear to be. It's like looking through a fish lens. The objects seems to be more far away and smaller. This makes it more difficult to hit  'cos the shock core also appears to be smaller. That's why I'm sticking to FOV 100 although in other FPS I prefer 120

I've tried it, good old quake nothing more nothing less.
Still can't believe this game is 10 years old :)

the truth is to this day I still think that playing that match was some kind of an "accident"
I played a match in a gametype I know the least, we weren't on ts at that time and I still dunno what it the time for udamage to reaper, is it 86 seconds? I still dont know the dm maps well, so it's gonna take a while till I'll try another tdm match.

I still think a duel sike vs martini would be a good idea

Yeah, it's bingo! He plays only Insta and you get frags very quicky in iCTF. I thought his K:D ratio would be even higher. His movement rocks though 

I think Splitter described the situation pretty accurately. When it comes to stats the only thing I look up is the weapons K:D ration. You can get a better picture about your enemy from that.

Hey martini I tried to make some moving shock combos with a dpi of 600^^ and walking combos are really easier. But if you have to make a dodge jump or a jump boot jump it's really hard to hit the shock core.

It will take time to get used to it Bender. When you change sens. it might take DAYS till you are comfortable with your mouse again. But as you wrote, walking combos were a lot easier and I'm sure you'll be able to make even the dodge jump ones after a couple of days.

Mouse (G9): 2000 DPI/3200 DPI and speed 4/10 (as you can see, I could use it much more faster).
Mousepad: Sharkoon 1337 Gaming Mat "Black"  (mid-sense)
UT3: 1200

horizontal (1680): ~2,8 - 3cm
vertical (1050): 1,8 - 2cm

(Tested in Windows, moved mouse pointer from the highest (or left) to the lowest (or right) position.)

Just 2.8 - 3 cm to move it across the screen. That sounds like freakish high sens. What about mouse acceleration, did you take it into account? Did you just make a fast twitch or slow motion?

I'm beginning to feel like a weirdo... hearing from all of you that you use such high sensitivities.
