Say hello to Unreal Engine 4
.
Well, hello UE4! =)
The
article on wired is nicely written, but I doubt that Sweeney is pleased about the lead-in.
Tall and thin, with hair slightly unkempt and glasses thick enough to focus sunlight into a lethal, ant-killing beam, Sweeney often sounds short of breath while talking, which makes his already wispy voice seem as though it might fade out entirely at any second.
Next round in bashing on "Master Sergeant Shooter Person", COD? 'Duty Calls' was a fun parody, but if Epic Games wants to compare Engine features, they should stick to the CryEngine and recognize that the big new features are already available. The CryEngine offers play from Editor with live dynamic lightning, in addition also live physics and save states from game to editor. But lets wait for the 'real' new features when Epic Games themselves will present their Engine.
