4 this things u can use a mouse with on the fly change of sensitivity. Only press the special button - low sense to aim with sniper or shock, once again and - tadaa, high sens.

Or u ask SpIitter, how he do it.  xxxras.gif

Hey Splitter how can i set this thing?  Help

You'll have to have a mouse that has this feature like for example the MX518 - I have it but I don't use this feature at all. I've tried but found it too distractive. When I'm in a middle of a fast fight I really don't have the time to adjust my sens.

btw I personally think that it's easier to hit combos with lower sens. Especially when you are trying to make a movin' combo you have to be very precise to hit the core. With higher sens. any small twitch of your hand makes you move your crosshair too much IMHO

I tried to play on a low sense, for me its impossible, when I try to turn around it takes 5 seconds^^

I play on 2200 dpi and in a few days on 3200 dpi. The good thing I can switch the weight of the (new) mouse (like nightmare and wojci).

If you train shock combos with a high dpi its also possible. And I do not set my dpi to 600 only for the shock rifle^^

No, no! LOL I mean, he hand out headshots like a fakking undead from hell. xxxshifty.gif I've  listen rumors, he play with a direct brain-computer-interface...  xxxlaugh.gif

4 me it was very useful to have a arm rest on my desk. If u play high sense and place only ur wrist on ur desk, u cannot hold nor handle ur mouse smoothly enough.

Cool I'm surprised how many of you guys prefer higher sens.
At least it shows that there is no "right" setting and it's mostly purely based on personal preference.

The same applies for mice. I think it doesnt matter much what kind of mouse u use, the most important thing is that it will fit right into your hand and u feel comfortable using it. Then all the settings and DPI stuff is kinda a useless trash talk. There is no way a mouse will make u a better player.

Well, I had a big performance boost thanks to hitting my old microsoft mouse in the trash. The sensor was slow and unprecise, suddenly I begun to nonstop turn around because of the mouse sending wrong signals. -.-

Now I play with a very excelent sensor and 2 thumb buttons (avril and shock/stinger pipe), I couldn't imagine to play like before.

Btw: It seems I have the most insane sensivity?
Mouse: 1600dpi
UT3: 1800dpi

(Bloody will set 3200dpi? At what mouse sensitivity??)

Mouse (G9): 2000 DPI/3200 DPI and speed 4/10 (as you can see, I could use it much more faster).
Mousepad: Sharkoon 1337 Gaming Mat "Black"  (mid-sense)
UT3: 1200

horizontal (1680): ~2,8 - 3cm
vertical (1050): 1,8 - 2cm

(Tested in Windows, moved mouse pointer from the highest (or left) to the lowest (or right) position.)

Just 2.8 - 3 cm to move it across the screen. That sounds like freakish high sens. What about mouse acceleration, did you take it into account? Did you just make a fast twitch or slow motion?

I'm beginning to feel like a weirdo... hearing from all of you that you use such high sensitivities.  embarrassed

Windows has its own mouse acceleration/sensivity settings.
...I need a medium-slow mouse without acceleration on XP. (ca15-20cm from-left top to bottom-right  Roll Eyes)

Hey martini I tried to make some moving shock combos with a dpi of 600^^ and walking combos are really easier. But if you have to make a dodge jump or a jump boot jump it's really hard to hit the shock core.

It will take time to get used to it Bender. When you change sens. it might take DAYS till you are comfortable with your mouse again. But as you wrote, walking combos were a lot easier and I'm sure you'll be able to make even the dodge jump ones after a couple of days.

That's of course right.
In game I need around 4 cm for a 180° turn.
