Today in 4 hours i made this cool map called "Tower". Lets test it on our server  Crazysmile1

Good job, aka!
...but your map (called "lol", loooool) is for deatchmatch.
By the way: have you tried to play it against bots? haha, they can't handly the map correctly and always go down, if you are at the bottom you can kill them all  tongue

answering the questions :))

It took me 4 hours cuz it's my first map of such a type and i was wasting a lot of time to arranging all the objects, so they will be aligned to each other.

The bots are stupid, because i didn't make path nodes. That means bots doesn't know what to do and where they should run.

And yes, it's for deathmatch :) I think i will all a similar symmetric room and put the flags on each top of the tower :) Make some more paths and tunnels and that will be cool  Crazysmile1 If you have any ideas, i would like to hear them.

Maybe you could make fewer and higher floors, else you can't shoot upwards, but you get hit from there... make someting where distance combat isn't possible... to long tunnels without any curve etc. If you make it Vctf we could host it, but what vehicles to put there?? Maybe vctf without vehicles / vehicles only behind a glass wall to view at (looool, I really don't know)?

Seems funny to me.
First:
You could include an ini-file which lets the map be in the offline map list.
For example:
DM-lol.ini
Code:
[DM-lol UTUIDataProvider_MapInfo]
MapName=DM-lol
FriendlyName=lol
Description=rofl
NumPlayers=4 to 8 players     Author: aka_sova
Then you will see it together will all other maps if you play offline.

I found 3 small glitches.
Maybe you want to fix them sometimes.

There is a small problem with graphics on the ground:

You can hide in many columns:

It is not possible to jump through the hole near the shield belt - maybe a feature?

hi Nightmare :)

1) I don't know why do i need this .ini file. I play it free offline too after i add the map to custom maps directory. And i put attention, that UT3 creates .ini file by itself after you play this map first time.

2) ok, i will increase the plane on the bottom. Actually there is vortex there, that is half-transparent and if you look in the game to "nothing", you actually have such a bugs :) So i created a plane under the vortex with the texture. What you saw is the space after the plane.

3) I know that glitch, and i even didn't try to fix it, cuz i forgor, how to make collision boxes and this stuff :S

Map making is very funny, you have to try it out. Download the video tutorials via torrents (i can give u torrent file) and enjoy!
