I just wanted to play w/ ut3 on dm/tdm servers and got this error message:

I think the problem is some installed mutator, but yesterday night everything were ok and nothing changed since then, only practised combos offline. I've got installed the following mutators:

utcompIII v4 beta2
utcomp ping compensation
talking Icon mutator
CBP3 Pickups
and some .u .upk .ini file manually because of i couldnt play the videos made by demorec.

That happens when you try to summon jumpboots or similar things. Normally its solved after restarting the game.

Let them say I walked with giants. Men rise and fall like the winter wheat, but these names never die. Let them say I lived in the time of Narcisuss, sculptor of physiques. Let them say I lived in the time of Zyzz.

Problem solved by deleting the ..Documents and settings\....\My Games\UT3 folder. I have a copy of this directory, so its was easy to set back the settings.

But i dont know what was the cause of the error.

Did you ever summon something? I mean something you get when you respawned all the time. I had this problem everytime after I summoned 255 jumpboots.

I had net-setting problems once after setting up my PC as server. had to restore 2-3 ini's than it worked again. In Sike's case I have no idea what could have caused those problems.  032.gif

Uhm, bad problem sike! As I had my profile / network problems, I reinstalled the whole game. Indeed its doesn't touch your personal folders, but try it.

But the error depends from network connection and I would deinstall the LAN and reinstall it. If there are some problems deep inside the hardware configuration, you look for a needle in a haystack. With reinstalling you has standard settings...

@ Fox: I think Sike fixed the problem when he restored a backup of his MyDocuments/MyGames/..
