No, it's not released.
There was a link @http://epicgames.com/download/
but they removed it quickly.

However, I test this patch only offline.
It's not for public use so I don't want to use it online.
And it has some huge bugs as well^^

Why they made so many new ctf maps? Noone plays ctf! The most guys playing vctf/warfare/tdm/dm and duel BUT NOT CTF  xxxlaugh.gif .
Maybe that's the reason why they do it. Wink
I can understand that they don't like it if no one plays CTF.
They hope they can change it with these new things.
However, I won't play it because I just don't like this game mode.
And well, even new game modes will come, so the chance that I play CTF is very low^^

3 new VCTF maps are fully ok if you ask me Wink
Maybe there won't be that many Suspense only servers, just Suspense_Necris only servers... lol.



P.S. I hope the Titan Pack will not be bigger than ~700 MB because I want to burn UT3 with patch 2.0 and the Titan Pack on a new DVD+R DL Wink

Ok, I see^^
Well, it seems this issue should be fixed as well.
Every entry has its own space and it's not important where exactly you click in this space.
The fonts do not change as it was before.
The only thing, which I don't like, is the clicking.
Right now on 1.3 and previous versions you have to click 1 time to enter a sub menu.
Now you have to click twice - I don't like it!
I hope it will stay to 1 click.
Yes, you are right, the old (current^^) menu is a little bit too exact.
The new menu should definitely be more user-friendly!

I already wrote a PM to the Epic admins (feedback) and they said this release is not for public but they will look into my post (bug list and the whole feedback Wink).
But I'm disappointed and I thought they've made a bigger progress.
Beta 1 sounds like it could be very difficult to finish the patch this month.
Well, and they have to fix some bugs which are in the changelog and they have to fix the bugs which the patch creates!
(I only found the Avril reload exploit as already said and they should know it and my complete bug list because 2 Admins replied to my message Wink )

What about the server browser? any news there yet?
I hope they improve it a lot!

What about sorting in message and friends list. At the moment i cant find any friends cause they cant be sorted alphabetically or anything. I miss the old buddy list, it was better.
And i guess you still have to waste several seconds logging in everytime you want to play.
No idea, sorry.
I have no access to the server browser because I'm completely offline.
(Nothing is available).

Any new maps or skins or will this patch only be bugfixes and improvements to crappy stuff?
Only bug fixes.
New maps or mods will come with the Titan Pack which will come after the patch.

I thought it is worth to create an extra thread about this Wink
Here is a preview of the 1st beta of the new patch, called 2.0.

First, the splash screen has completely been changed.
It's now black and more different.



The main menu looks kinda different.
You _Dark_ guys may like it^^
It is not always the same menu as you can see.
Ah and you now have to double click on any menu (that sucks if you ask me - I hope it will be changed in the final version):




Epic said the new patch will bring more graphics options ingame.
There are indeed a lot of new graphics options:




Here you have some other menu screenshots with some new options:
(As you can see, 2 new modes will come - last screenshot of this part).








Ok, the new weapon locker system is now better.
You can pickup weapons as often as you want but with 2 conditions:
The 1st it will take time until it respawns again (I remember something with 25 seconds) and 2nd you cannot pickup full ammo.
The Link Gun's limit will still be 100.
If you find separate ammo, it will be full of course!
(Would be too easy if you run to all weapon lockers in your base to have full ammo).
Another great thing is that "setbind key throwweapon" now works.
You can throw away all weapons except your hammer.
Perfect if you have the Redeemer but don't want to use it because another team mate would need it more than you.
(Not sure if it works for the Deployables too).

The problem with the invisible players on the scoreboard should be fixed as well:





The nodes in Warfare will be changed too.
The 1st screenshot may look as always, but I'm sure it's still different.
(I guess the screenshot is not very good).
The other one should be definitely different.
You now see the name of the node at the upper and lower part.
(I did not compare it with 1.3 but I'm sure it's new):




The Link Gun has a new effect.
You should see it here:



The Manta crouch exploit is fixed.
It's very difficult to get under the water.
So I would say it's finally fixed!



I have the feeling Epic are actually trying to fix the Goliath and barricade issue.
It seems to be impossible to drive backwards through the barricades.
(I hope it's not old^^).




UT3 should support Client Demo recording now.
I tested it (needed some trials to get the command).
However, it did not work.
No idea if I have to be online:




Names of enemy players are now visible in matches (not sure if only DeathMatches):



During a match, you can easily send a message to a player by double clicking on his/her/its^^ name:




Some other things:
The following bugs of my list are confirmed as fixed until now:
(* means look the note at the end)
06. Some player names are not displayed on scoreboard
18. Auto taunts still do not work properly
20. Manta crouch exploit
28. Announcer gives wrong or bad pieces of advice*
32. Nightshade sometimes shows wrong mines in its weapon tab
47. Redeemer ceiling bug
48. Picking up weapon attachments while shooting gives an unfair advantage

*28: Very cheap because Epic have just removed all "attack the..." announces.

Around 23 bugs are confirmed as NOT fixed.
The rest is unkown.
A new bug comes with the patch, the Avril reload exploit.
It is possible to shoots Avril very fast just by getting on the hoverboard (or getting in a vehicle) during the shots. The whole reload animation will be skipped and you can shoot very fast Avrils.
The Manta hurricane flight has NOT been fixed now and the Impact Hammer jump with Manta too.
Very strange. The Goliath's new health is now 900!
The new patch replaces the current OpenAL32.dll with another (simpler) version which won't let the game crash on X-Fi cards. However, since there is a work-around for users with X-Fi + X-Ram cards, I recommend to rename the wrap_oal.dll (408 KB) to OpenAL32.dll.
(But not now, because now it is as it should be - they only change it with patch 2.0 - cheap trick again^^)

And the hurricane flight on Suspense is crap as well.
I think SERPEGIALLA needs some lessons what map glitches are^^

P.S. I think the only thing that I posted, which is not a glitch, is on Containment the Goliath climbing.
If those barricades would be fixed completey, the Goliath could not drive through them anymore.
(Or if the Goliath would be fixed - one way or the other).

Maybe it's okay that the Impact Hammer takes 50 hp.
It takes 25 hp in offline mode if the bot level is low.
Yes, very confusing!
Setting the bot level to Godlike (I haven't try out other levels) result in double self-damage with any weapons.
This happens even if you don't have any bots.... the level, that is important!

One of my friends owns this game for the 360.
It definitely looks very nice.
However, this could be normal nowadays...
He complaints about the fights which are much based on luck because you have to "hope" that your teammates make this what they should make (at least that is what he says).
I cannot confirm this because I don't own this game.
Let's see if it will be the same with the pc version.

P.S. The screenshots are of the 360 version, but I don't think they are that different compared to the pc version.

Yes but the tank is getting destroyed  and it will be destroyed unless a team mate goes into it.
Where is the logic?
You can't compare it with any other weapons.
If the tanks gets shot by Link Guns, Rocket Launchers etc. it loses health constantly.
And after the player goes out, it doesn't matter if an enemy hijacks it because it is already nearly destroyed.
We are talking about full health and weapons, which destroyed it with 1 hit.
(Same would be with Redeemer but this is another thing^^)
If you plant C4 at an enemy tank, it should get destroyed - completely independent of anything, even if team mates take it.
Well, team kills are possible as well (in other situations).
So it would be hard but fair if this one is a team kill too.

I know it's the same thing with other vehicles and weapons, but this is not a big problem compared to a tank with full hp and C4.
Not everything should be as the other things...

Hey,
I just had a small "vision" *lol*.
I already discussed with Bender about this problem and we have the same opinion.

Example:
Player 1 is on red team and player 2 and player 3 are on blue team.
Player 1 has a tank, player 2 the Shaped-Charge and player 3 nothing.
(I think you already know that I want to say^^)
Player 2 places the Shaped-Charge at the tank, player 1 leaves because he will die and player 2 does not enter it as well.
However, if player 3 enters it, he will get 0 damage and the blue team will have the tank since this moment!
Is this fair? I don't think so!
A fair solution would be that the tank still gets destroyed and player 3 will be thrown out without loosing any damage.

What do you think?

The problem is that the sandstorm on Sandstorm is a feature.
The changing of colors (Juggernaut) seems to be buggy on some maps.
I really have the feeling that the juggernaut view on Corruption is not as it should be.
Compare it with other maps:
WAR-OnyxCoast, WAR-Serenity etc.
The colors get changed as well, but only a little bit and not that extreme as on Corruption.
Something like an ultra overlap of colors which causes problems.

However, I did not count them to the map glichtes because it seems to be a hoverboard problem.
Problems with the hoverboard, which you posted, are on nearly every map available.

Important:
It has nothing to do with the maps - it is a hoverboard problem.
Of course it also works on plenty of other objects in official maps!
1. You run against an object until you can't move forward.
2. You press your hoverboard-key (standard Q)
3. Now you needn't to do anything because you will automatically fly backwards many metres.

However, the game loses its "touch", seems a little bit dark and colorless.

Hmm isn't there a possibility to turn it on/off ingame?
Opening the console and typing DepthOfField=False or DepthOfField=True does not work.
If it would work, I would bind it to a key and press it when I'm a Juggernaut...
